Palacios Funeral Home

The Palacios Funeral Home formally opened its doors to the public in May 1932 and has continuously served the people of Palacios and the surrounding area with courteous and compassionate service for over seventy years.

Throughout the war years between 1941 and 1946, the funeral home provided services to families across the United States. On occasion, soldiers from Camp Hulen would die. Palacios Funeral Home attended to the preparation of the remains and all the necessary administrative details, to ship the soldier home. From the early 1940’s through the mid 1960’s, the Palacios Funeral Home also operated a city ambulance service.

The funeral home is a story and half structure with a brick exterior on the ground level and a wood exterior finish on the second floor. The ground floor includes a dedicated visitation room, an office, a kitchen and our large, spacious chapel can seat up to 125 people. There is also a private family room, which if necessary, can be converted into a visitation room. The selection room is replete with a full line of quality caskets that provide a wide selection of merchandise that can fulfill the needs of those we serve.
Throughout the years, the funeral home staff has earnestly strived to faithfully, and with deep care, dignity and respect, serve the citizens of Palacios and the surrounding area. Family owned, with an old fashioned way of doing business, at your time of need, our professional staff is ready to assist you.
