Our legacy

About Us

Taylor Bros. Funeral Home has been serving the families of Matagorda County since 1909. For more than a century, we have provided compassionate, full-service funeral care guided by dignity, respect, and professionalism. Throughout changing times and traditions, our commitment has remained the same: to support families with thoughtful guidance and dependable care during life’s most difficult moments.

As a locally owned funeral home, we understand the importance of trust. Our experienced team works closely with each family to ensure every service reflects their wishes, values, and beliefs. Whether a family chooses a traditional funeral, a memorial service, or a more personalized celebration of life, we approach every arrangement with care, clarity, and attention to detail.

We are proud to be a full-service funeral home. From coordinating cemetery arrangements and transportation to handling obituaries, permits, and service details, we manage every aspect of the process so families can focus on what matters most—remembering and honoring their loved one. Our goal is to provide peace of mind by serving as a single, reliable point of contact throughout the entire experience.

In 2021, a fire destroyed our longtime facility on Avenue I. While the loss was significant, it strengthened our resolve to continue serving this community with the same dedication we have always shown. In 2024, we reopened at the same location in a newly rebuilt facility designed to meet the needs of today’s families. Our modern, comfortable spaces were created to offer a welcoming environment for gathering, reflection, and remembrance.

For generations, Taylor Bros. Funeral Home has remained deeply connected to the community it serves. We are honored by the trust families place in us and remain committed to upholding the standards of care that have defined our funeral home for over a century.
