Phillip Dan Ripke, 82, of Palacios transitioned to the other side on February 18, 2025. He was born January 28, 1943 in Palacios, Texas to the late Clarence Ripke, Sr. and Olivia Flores Ripke.

He had a successful, 30 year career as a Lab Technician for Dupont in LaPorte, Tx. He loved fishing, telling stories, and visiting with friends at the local coffee shop. He was wise, witty, and had a great sense of humor. He will always be loved and remembered for his big, compassionate heart; and will be greatly missed.

He was an amazing Father, Husband, and Bapa/Grandpa. Survivors include his wife Irene Harvill Mangum; daughter Marika Ripke; sons Theron Ripke (Alecia) and Daniel Mangum (Bianca); sister Mary Fernandez and grandchildren KamalaCielo Ripke, Emmery Ripke, Lily Brockman, Emily Brockman and Zoe Gonzalez.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM Monday, February 24, 2025 at the Palacios Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 PM at the Palacios Cemetery with Colleen Claybourne officiating. Pallbearers will be KamalaCielo Ripke, Richard Ripke, Michael Jackson, Lawrence Garcia, Ed Teamer, Harold "Pop" Thomas, and Hank Thomas (honorary).
