Lowell Don Claxton Jr., 72, of Blessing, Texas, passed away on November 6, 2025. He was born on September 19, 1953, in Newport, Arkansas, to Lowell Don Claxton Sr. and Mary Sue Stoud Claxton.

Donny was a fan of baseball, with his favorite team being the Astros. However, his true passion was teaching young people the sport. Donny coached Little League for many years, and it was one of his favorite hobbies. Some of Donny's other favorite pastimes included saltwater fishing, hunting whitetail deer, and gardening. Donny retired from Celanese as an I&C lead technician.

He was preceded in death by his son, Kevin Claxton; his parents, Lowell and Mary Sue Claxton; and his brother, Russell Claxton. He is survived by his son, James Claxton; his brothers, Michael Claxton and Chris Claxton; and his sister, Brenda Claxton.
