Obituary

Juanita Navarro Sanchez, our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, entered eternal rest on October 5, 2025, at 4:04 p.m., surrounded by the love and comfort of her family.  At 84, her heart—so full of warmth, strength, and unwavering faith in God—found everlasting peace in the arms of her Heavenly Father after a life richly lived in devotion to Him.

Juanita was a woman of great resilience and grace who faced life's challenges with courage and compassion. Though her heart carried the sorrow of losing many loved ones, including her parents, Juan and Otilia R. Navarro; her beloved husband, Domingo Sanchez Jr.; her dear children, Rudy and Rosa; her granddaughter, Kimberly Mireles; and great-grandson, Justin Franco, she remained a steadfast pillar of love and strength for her family. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, David Guajardo, Alvino Guajardo, and Israel Navarro, and her sister, Andrea N. Garza.

She survived by her loving siblings, Fernando Navarro, Refugio Navarro, Elva Andrade, and Joe Navarro. Her legacy continues through her seven devoted children: Debra Daniels (Bryan), Ramiro Sanchez (Angie), Melisia Mireles (David Valdez), Angel Sanchez, Walter Sanchez Sr., Bruce Sanchez (Cathy), and Ruby Sanchez. She is also lovingly remembered by 12 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren who were the pride and joy of her life.

This sprawling family was, without a doubt, her greatest joy, and she poured her soul into every moment, and every memory she created with them.  Juanita's life was a celebration of the simple, beautiful moments. Her kitchen was a haven where she crafted meals that brought us all together, her tamales and warm hugs were the heart of every gathering. She danced with a spark that lit up the room, her joy infectious whether she was swaying to music or cheering at the slot machines in her favorite casino or game room or the sparkle in her grandkids' eyes when she spoiled them just a little too much. Her laughter, her generosity, and her unyielding spirit were gifts to everyone who knew her.

To her family, she was more than a mother and grandmother, she was the heart of the family, the one who taught them to stay strong, love deeply, and always look out for one another. Her stories, her hugs, and her laughter will echo in the hearts of all who knew her.

Juanita's life was a beautiful testament to resilience, warmth, and unconditional love. Though she is gone from our sight, she will forever remain in the hearts of those whose lives she touched.
