Elva Josephine Saldana, 86, of Bay City passed away on June 21, 2024 from a long term battle with dementia. She was born June 22, 1937 to the late Rafael and Inez Garcia of Harlingen, TX.

Elva was preceded in death by her husband Zenon Saldana, parents Rafael and Inez Garcia, sisters Nena and Lupe, Son Johnny Garcia, grandson Steve Trevino Jr, and great granddaughter Mercedes Garcia.

She is survived by her children Joe Saldana, Nelda & Paul Quiroga, Jesse & Tammy Saldana, Debbie Quiroga, Melissa & Julio Garay. Johnny Garcia, Paul Garcia, Becky Garcia, Criselda G. Guerrero; 21 grandchildren and 47 great grandchildren.

Elva "Nana" was the heart and home of our family. She loved to play the accordion, crochet, board/video games, shopping, and most of all cooking for her family.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home.  Interment followed at Roselawn Memorial Park.
