Wilma Ruth "Teet" Miller, 94 of Matagorda, passed away Monday, December 26, 2011 at University General Hospital in Houston. She was born February 7, 1917 in Matagorda, TX to Thomas Nini and Thelma Baxter Nini. She was a life long resident of Matagorda, a member of the Garden Club, the Eastern Star, and the Christ Episcopal Church of Matagorda.

She is survived by her daughter: Fredye Lou Dennard and husband Jim of Cleveland; by her sons: Gayle Watkins, Jr. of Palacios, and Lock Wood "Woody" Miller and wife Barbara of Pearland; by a sister: Luke Lera of Galveston; by a brother: R. J. Nini of Pearland; by 4 grandchildren: G.F. Watkins, Brent Watkins, James Dennard and Zane Miller and by 5 great grandchildren: Sky Watkins, Sara Marie Watkins, Cole Watkins, Grant Watkins and Dane Watkins. She was preceded in death by her parents; by her husband, Fred Miller; and by a brother, Tommy Nini.

Visitation will be from11:00 AM to 8:00 PM Wednesday at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, December 29, 2011 at the Christ Episcopal Church of Matagorda with Rev. Hoss Gwin and Rev. Harley Savage officiating. Interment will follow at Matagorda Cemetery in Matagorda, TX. Pallbearers will be James Dennard, George Deshotels, Charles Vacek and Bob Jackson.
