William Thomas Wernly, 70, beloved father, grandfather and brother, passed away December 23, 2013. He was born April 9, 1943 to the late William Henry Wernly and Beulah Blanche Posey Wernly. He was a 1961 graduate of Van Vleck High School and served in both the US Army and US Navy.

He was preceded in death by an infant daughter Shrinda Love Annie Wernly. He is survived by daughters Kathy Martinez & husband Michael and Vicky Leblanc & husband Phil; son William Daniel Wernly; brother Timothy Wernly & wife Joy; sisters Jane Mathis, Julie Ham and Melissa Clegg & husband Doug; granddaughters Cassie Aplin & Cheyanne Kulak; grandsons Dakota & Jared Aplin & Blayne LeBlanc and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was a hard working man all of his life, and now those hard working hands are at rest.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 5pm until 7pm Thursday at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Friday, December 27, 2013 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mark Mathis, Ronnie Middleton, Cody Griffith, Albert Rodriguez, Jason Thompson and Caleb Wernly. Dakota Aplin, Jared Aplin, Blayne LeBlanc and William Daniel Wernly will serve as honorary pallbearers.
