William Calvin Smith, Jr. was born in Wharton, TX to William Calvin Smith, Sr. and Joyce Oline Eidlebach Smith on October 8, 1958. Calvin passed away January 6, 2017 at Bay Villa Nursing Home in Bay City.

Calvin was preceded in death by his parents, W. C and Joyce and his brother Johnny.

His is survived by his brothers: Donald Smith (Melba) from Sweeny, Bobby Smith (Barbara) from Sugar Valley; Sisters: Shirley Roadcap (Mark) from Rosharon, Mary Elizabeth Carpenter (Ray) from Alvin and Aloura Beck (Doug) from Weatherford.

He is also survived by nieces and nephews: Christopher and Jason Kaw, Lyha Roadcap, Moira Gesford, Morgan Smith, Patchouli Smith, Bianca Cunningham, Megan and Robert Polk, Chelsea and Alanah Beck, along with several great nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to the Physicians, Nurses and caregivers of Bay Villa Healthcare Center for their care of Calvin for many years.

The family will hold a private scattering of his ashes at a later time.
