Bill Shine, 83, of Katy passed away Sunday June 13, 2010. He was born October 12, 1926 in New York City to the late William Martin & Irene Debra Shine. Bill was a life long educator, and served his country as a Signalman Third Class during World War II as a member of the United States Navy.

He is survived by his 2 sons: Giles Shine & Jeff Shine both of Katy; and 2 granddaughters: Brittany & Bethany Shine. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife: Jocelyn Jeannene McIver Shine in 1980, and 2 sisters: Irene Judge & Virginia Appleyard.

A graveside service with Veteran Honors, performed by VFW Post 2438, will be held 10:00 AM Friday, June 25, 2010 at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck.
