William Wade "Bill" Roome, 75, of Bay City passed away October 30, 2014. He was born June 9, 1939 in El Campo, TX to the late Harold Wade Roome and Lyda Elizabeth Raybon.

Bill was very active for many years in Bay City Little League, he was an avid golfer, a huge Aggie Fan and rarely missed a Bay City Blackcat football game.

Survivors include his wife Peggy Joyce Kelly Roome; daughter Patricia Roome Bell & husband Doug of Hallsville, TX; son William Paul Roome & wife Bridget of Cypress, TX; sisters Haroldean "Deanie" McKeown of Texas City and Lyda Elizabeth "Beth" Martin of Edna, TX; brothers Alton "Sonny" Roome & wife Alice of Louise, TX and Carol Gene "Bubbie" Roome & wife Gayle of Lolita and grandchildren Ryan Daley Bell, Riley Nicole Bell, Austin Levi Roome and Garrett Wade Bell.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 4:30 PM until 6:30 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Monday, November 3, 2014 at the First Baptist Church in Van Vleck with Rev. Bob Hobbins officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Lawrence Roome, Ronnie Martin, Mark McKeown, Gary McKeown, Richard Roome and Doug Bell.
