Obituary
William "Bill" Robertson of Bay City passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2016. Bill was born on February 13, 1931 in Konova, West Virginia to the late Averill Russell and Cora Virginia Moore Robertson.
Bill was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Bill was a Pipefitter with the Local 211. He loved to garden and spend time at Shipley Donuts drinking coffee with his friends.
Bill is survived by his wife of 58 years Carolyn Hardaway Robertson of Bay City; children LeAnn Hacker of El Campo, Kay Lynn Robertson of Bay City, Russell Robertson of Bay City; brother, Robert Lee Robertson of Corpus Christi; grandchild, Eric Andrew Robertson; great grandchildren, Sullivan Andrew Robertson, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The family would like to thank the Legacy Nursing Home for their excellent care.
A Memorial service will held 10:00 A.M. Thursday, February 18, 2016 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Hardaway officiating. VFW Post 2438 will provide military honors. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to VFW Post #2438, P.O. Box 269, Bay City, Texas 77404.
