Obituary

William Frank Krobot, 83, peacefully went to his reward on Tuesday, June 17, 2014.
Born October 14, 1930 to Frank and Josephine Krobot in Needville, Texas. William, known to everyone as "Bill", attended Van Vleck Schools, graduating in 1948. Bill was active in Sports and was a Star Athlete. After graduation, Bill worked for Rugeley Motor Company in Bay City then joined the United States Air Force in 1952, serving as an Aircraft Technician. On February 7, 1953, Bill married his sweetheart, Elsie Ella Hartfield and their union was blessed with 61 wonderful years of marriage. In 1956, Bill returned to Van Vleck, Tx after his service to our country and began a long career in the Automotive Parts Industry. Bill worked for Dependable Motor Parts (NAPA) for many years, finally retiring in 1998.
Bill was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Van Vleck and was previously active in the Van Vleck Volunteer Fire Department for several years and served as Fire Chief. Throughout his life, Bill was also extremely successful in farming and ranching and thoroughly enjoyed supporting the local 4H and FFA programs. Bill had a passion for gardening and took pleasure in sharing his vegetables with family and friends. Later in his life, Bill was a member of the Bay City American Legion Post 11.
Bill and Elsie were blessed with four sons, Kenneth, twins, Ronald and Donald and Stephen. Bill and Elsie retired to his family home place and built a beautiful home that he always dreamed about with his personal fishing spot out his back door.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Josephine, brothers Irvin and John F. and his son Donald.
Bill was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who thoroughly enjoyed reminiscing with family and friends about his awesome life experiences. Bill affectionately was known as Pops to his family and loved to joke around while visiting with friends. Bill enjoyed hunting and fishing and usually had numerous stories to tell everyone about his experiences.
Bill is survived by his wife, Elsie, son, Kenneth and wife Rebecca from San Antonio, Tx; Ronald and wife Cristina from Belton, Tx; and Stephen and wife Terri from Shrewsbury, PA. Also, two sisters Louise Viviyal from Guy, Tx and Dorothy Beard from Bay City, Tx. Eight Grandchildren, Lisa Novak from San Antonio Tx, William Keith Krobot from Marble Falls Tx, Ashley Krobot from San Marcos Tx, Justin Krobot from San Antonio Tx, Jessica Krobot from Belton Tx and Kaileigh, Kristin and Paige Krobot from Shrewsbury, PA. Also, one great grandchild, Willam Bode Krobot from Marble Falls, TX and numerous nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.
The family will receive friends and relatives from 5PM until 7PM Saturday at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Sunday, June 22, 2014 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Chapel with Rev. Kenny Carter officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck. Pallbearers will be Robert Roe, Jason Roe, Ross Roe, Kyle Krobot, Mark Krobot, Marvin Hartfield, Gary Farris, and Mike Wade. Honorary pallbearers will be Shannon Champion, Mark Mach, Ken Leck, Ronnie Bose, Levi Callis, Bill Lacy, Paul Roe, John Edd Storts andGary Mathews.
