Obituary

William Troy "Bill" Kay of Sinton, TX passed away on April 12, 2006 at the age of 60. Bill was born July 3, 1945 in Richmond, TX to John D. and Martha Meador Kay. He grew up in and around Van Vleck, TX where he graduated from high school.

Bill was a Vietnam Veteran, having received a Purple Heart and Bronze Star Medal. He is a life long member of VFW and is a past commander of the Zapata Post 7768.

He was employed in the oilfield for most of his working career. For the last 15 years, Bill was self-employed as an Oil & Gas Consultant, working in the United States and West Africa.

Survivors include his wife, Jessie Lee Kay of Sinton; daughters and sons-in-law Carolyn Anderson of Beaufort, SC, Theresa & Ricky Hernandez of West Columbia, Debbie & Steve Martinez of Brazoria, Kimberly & Moises Espinoza of Taft, TX; son and daughter-in-law William Troy, Jr. & Jennifer Kay of Sinton; sisters Barbara Flanagan of Wadsworth & Jolene Tobar of Dallas; brother Roger Dale Kay of Florida; eight grandchildren Melissa, Joey, Ami, Michael, Ashley, Julian, Christian, Genesis and a host of other relatives.
Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Monday, April 17, 2006 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Hardaway officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck. Pallbearers include Pete Anderson, Brent Matura, Duane Matura, Joey Matura, Ricky Matura and Larry Lewis. His oilfield friends will serve as honorary pallbearers.
