William "Dub" Ingram lll, 86, passed away Thursday, Sept. 23rd in Bay City. He was born January 13, 1924 in Cisco, Texas to the late William Taylor and Lelah Dill Ingram, Jr. He served his country proudly during WWll as a boatswains mate in the battle of Leyte Gulf and the liberation of the Philippines. He loved golf and served as a golf course superintendent for 45 years, member of the Golf Course Superintendents of America Association. He started caddying when he was 9 years old. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, E. June Howard Ingram, children; Thomas Michael Ingram & wife Penny, Claudia Ann Holloway & husband John, Dana Lee Thomas & husband Gary, Kathy Merchant & husband Kent, Judith Elaine Triplett & husband Randy; 10 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Lester Martin. Funeral service 10:00 A.M. Monday Sept. 27th at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Gantz officiating. Burial to follow at Cedarvale Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be from 6-8:00P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.
