William Edward Donohoe was born January 10, 1934 and passed away April 18, 2019.
He was born in Grand Saline, TX to James and Bertie Waymire Donohoe.
He served in the United States Air Force from 1956 until 1962. During that time he met and married the love of his life, Ural Lee Stanford on December 1, 1957.
Bill worked for the US Postal Service in Bay City, TX for 26 years. During that time he also served as a reserve officer for the Matagorda County Sheriff's Department and the Bay City Police Department. After retiring from the post office, he worked as a patrol officer for the Sweeny Police Department. He retired from there as a patrol officer and became a Captain of the reserves and served until 2009 when he took final retirement.
Bill and Ural raised three sons, Bruce Edward Donohoe, Terry Alan Donohoe and Roger Glen Donohoe.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother James Robbie Donohoe and his eldest son, Bruce Edward Donohoe.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Ural Lee Donohoe; sons Terry and Roger; 5 grandchildren Rebecca, Madison, Jericka, Tanneah and Mekayla and her husband Chase Jaros, 5 great grandchildren Tace, Dia, Sage, Goldie and Shiloh and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends and relatives from 5PM until 7PM Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 2PM Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Blake officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be John Milner, Tony Hammock, Fawn Acuff and Robert Hammock.
