Wayne Simon McDonald, Sr., 78, of Bay City passed away August 14, 2022.  He was born January 13, 1944 in Bay City to the late Elmo Simon McDonald and Lucy Mae Fondon McDonald.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Veronica Lea McDonald Barker; his son Wayne Simon McDonald, Jr; and life long friend of 65 years, Arville Wallace.

Survivors include his wife Vicki Blaylock McDonald; son Barton Lee McDonald; sister Joan Marie Yarbrough; brother Eugene "Tinker" Eidlebach; grandchildren Mikle Wayne McDonald, Aaron Matthew McDonald, Emily Kay McDonald Livesay, A-Driana Irene McDonald Roland and Gretchen McDonald and great-grandchildren Payden, Levi, Amber, Braylee, Evalynn, Noah, Knox, Elijah, Emanuel and Eziekel.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at Calvary Baptist Church.  Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM with Pastor Steve Malone officiating.  Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.  Pallbearers will be Roland Yarbrough, Virgil Blaylock, Ricky Blaylock, Dana Keller, Derrick Keller and Aaron McDonald.  Ronnie Radford, Jr. and David Davis will serve as honorary pallbearers.
