Obituary

Wayman Adolph Dial, 83, of Bay City passed away January 29, 2014. He was born December 31, 1931 in Beeville, TX to the late J. W. Dial and Aileen Fetters Dial. He served his country during the Korean Conflict in the US Army. He also served as Chief of Police in San Marcos, Texas.

Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Marilyn Dial; daughter Tana Villasana (Robert) of Sabinal, TX; sons Alan Dial (Lisa) of Corpus Christi and Gary Dial of Tuleta, TX; step-daughters Drenda Williams (Clay) of Bay City, Jeri Lyn Sump (Dale) of Austin and Amanda Jackson (Diamond Watson) of Lake Jackson; sisters Margie Rowley of Needville and Ethel McConnell of Beeville; brother Jackie Dial (Shirley) of Beeville; 14 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service celebrating his life will be 2:00 PM Saturday, February 1, 2014 at St. Peter Lutheran Church with Rev. Jared Stillions officiating. Please make memorial donations in his name to the American Heart Association.
