Wallace Fields, 69, of Tres Palacios Oaks, passed away Thursday, November 01, 2007. He was born February 15, 1938 in Cumberland, KY to Leonard Fields and Lona Boggs Fields. He was a resident of Matagorda County since 1977 and was a retired Cherry Picker Operator.

He is survived by his wife: Rose Fields of Tres Palacios Oaks; his daughters: Ramona Faulk of Shallotte, NC, Dale Powell of Hamstead, NC, Jenny Burrow of Round Rock, TX, Nancy Childres of Palacios, TX and Donna Lopez of Palacios, TX; by a son: Mark Marus of Sumerfield, NC; a sister: Sarah Willis of Chucky, TN; and by 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents: Leonard & Lona Fields; a daughter: Mary Lou Kempfer; by sisters: June Maggard and Vera Lee; and by his brother: Charlie Fields.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, November 4, 2007 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dave Gruhn officiating. Interment will follow at Hawley Cemetery in Blessing, TX. Pallbearers will be Russell Fauld, Steven Powell, Ronald Burrow, Bill Kempfer, Daniel Fields and Geral henderson, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Patrick Hinson and Ricky Torres.
