Vlasta Kopecky Domorad, 94, of Bay City passed away Sunday, March 12, 2006 at Bay Villa Nursing Home. She was born December 16, 1911 in Granger, TX to the Late John Frank & Frantisky Woytek Kopecky. Mrs. Domorad was a life long resident of Matagorda County, a Lutheran, and housewife. She was also, a member of the American Legion Post 0649 Auxiliary for 36 years, and SPJST. Vlasta loved fishing, playing bingo, and spending time with her loved ones.

She is survived by children: Margaret Jurek & husband Louis of Markham; 2 grandsons: Jason and Neil Jurek both of Markham; close friends: Jimmy Henkes, Wilma Vavra, Ona Lee Pierce, Lee Hall Pierce, and Frances Jurek; and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Domorad was preceded in death by her husband Anton R. Domorad on April 24, 1975; parents; sisters: Frances Malish, Tracy Baggett, Agens Boston, and Lillian Flint; brothers: V.L., Joe, John and Charlie Kopecky.

A Graveside Service will be held 3:00 PM Tuesday, March 14, 2006 at Hawley Cemetery under the direction of Ona Lee Pierce. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Henkes & Sons, and Louis & Jason Jurek. Arrangements with Taylor Bros. Funeral Home (979) 245-4613.
