Virginia Ann "Ginney" Jackson, 92, of Bay City passed away March 10, 2018. She was born November 14, 1925 in Madison, Wisconsin to the late Harry Blish and Ruth Barrett Blish.

After receiving her Registered Nursing Degree in Milwaukee, WI, she relocated to Galveston, TX to work in the Surgery Department at John Sealy Hospital. It was there that she married Dr. Robert Jackson.

After moving to Bay City in 1954, she worked as the school nurse at Bay City ISD for 26 years. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church for over 50 years.

Her husband, parents and sister, Harriet Golner, all preceded her in death.

She is survived by 4 children, Christine Latteo and husband Joe of San Marcos, Kathy Jackson of Kyle, TX, Dana Richardson and husband Steve of San Antonio and Bob Jackson of Bay City; 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 5pm until 7pm Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. A rosary service will be recited at 6:30 PM. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 AM Friday, March 16, 2018 at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Fr. Greg Korenek officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.

Ginney's wishes were for memorials to be made in her name to Holy Cross Catholic Church or Holy Cross School Foundation.
