Virginia Zustaita Gutierrez, 71, of Blessing, Texas, passed away Friday, March 15, 2024. She was born February 1, 1953, in Dolores Hidalgo, Guanajuato, Mexico, to the late Refugio Zustaita and Maria de Jesus Gutierrez.

She enjoyed attending church, praying the rosary, and spending time with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Timoteo Zustaita, Felipe Zustaita, Rufina Zustaita; her husband, Marcos Palomares. She is survived by her niece, Magdelena Sandoval; nephew, Elias Sandoval; and grandchildren Stephanie Sandoval, Uriel Sandoval and Vanessa Sandoval.

The family will receive relatives and friends for visitation from 4:00-7:00pm on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at the Palacios Funeral Home in Palacios, Texas. Public Visitation and Viewing will be from 1-2:00pm Thursday, March 21, 2024, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Bay City, Texas. The Holy Rosary will be recited at 1:30pm, and Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 2:00pm with Rev. Gabriel Espinosa officiating. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery in Blessing, Texas. Pallbearers for Mrs. Zustaita Gutierrez will be Mario Martinez, Elias Sandoval, Manuel Moreno, Jaime Reyes, Jerónimo Luna, Jose Zustaita.
