Obituary
Virgie Mae Hagerman, 85, of Matagorda passed away Sunday, November 30, 2008 in Houston. She was born October 24, 1923 in Wichita, Kansas to the late Alma Carter Drake & George Drake. Virgie was a 50-year resident of Matagorda, a member of the First United Methodist Church of Matagorda, a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Post # 4459, and was the co-owner of the Fighting Shrimp Bait Camp in Matagorda.
She is survived by her sister: Carmen Hoggarth in Bellingham, WA and brother: Jimmy L. Drake of University Place, WA. Virgie was preceded in death by her parents and husband: Bing Hagerman.
A Graveside Service will be held 10:00 AM Thursday, December 4, 2008 at Matagorda Cemetery.
