Victor L. Perez, 76, of Palacios died May 11, 2006 at his residence. He was born March 23, 1930 in Olivia, TX to Ascencion and Anastacia Lopez Perez. He served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict; retired from Alcoa Aluminum Co. in 1982; was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church; a life long resident of Palacios; a member of Alcoa 25 Year Club; and Life Member and Chaplain of the Palacios VFW Post 2467.

He is survived by his wife Anita Guzman Perez; daughter & son-in-law Sylvia & Tom Navarro; son & daughter-in-law Richard G. & Christine Perez all of Palacios; sisters Cruz Carmelo of South Houston & Dominga Gonzales of Palacios; brothers Henry L. Perez of Palacios, Paul Perez of Pt. Lavaca, Mike Perez of Houston & Valentine Perez of Bay City; grandchildren Irma Gonzales, Iris Gonzales & Richard Joseph Perez; great grandchildren Amado Ray Mata, Aaron Mata, Angelina Renee Navarro, Evione Roy, Jauslyn Rubio & Richard Jamal Perez.

A Knights of Columbus Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM Friday, May 12, 2006 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Palacios. Funeral mass will be 1:00 PM Saturday, May 13, 2006 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Rev. Charles Dwomoh officiating. Interment will follow at the Palacios Cemetery.
