Olive V. "Vickie" Guynes Hoffmann left this world to be with her Lord on Oct. 3, 2012. She was born in Palacios, TX on July 15, 1923 to the late Lenora A. & William A. Paulk, Sr. Her brother William A. Paulk, Jr., first husband Harry Guynes, Jr. and second husband C. M. Hoffmann all preceded her in death.

Survivors include sons Harry Wayne Guynes & Craig Thomas Guynes & wife Carol Lynn all of Bay City; daughters Patricia A. Ratliff & husband Dan of Bay City, Sandra J. Trower of Angleton, Nancy K. Holland of Brownwood; sister Geraldine Richardson of Lampassas and brother James A. Paulk & wife Mickey of Hurley, Mississippi. Grandchildren William G. Ratliff & wife Sherri, Vickie M. Pace & husband Gary of Spring, Jody A. Guynes & wife Charlene, Gregory W. Guynes & wife Mary, Natasha L. & husband Paul Humplett, Teresa N. & husband Justin Funk, William M. Guynes & wife Melissa, Craig T. Guynes, Jr. & wife Dee, Mark M. Trower & wife Sharon, Deanna K. Baxter & husband Phil, Beau J. Trower & wife Kathy, Robin J. & Patrick Yates, Virgil K. Taylor, Jr. & wife Becky, Tammy K. Johnson & husband Kevin, Jesse K. Taylor, Darlene K. Brown & husband Phillip, Angel R. Walker & husband J. D. & Joni A. Gongora & husband Joel; 36 great grandchildren, 20 great-great grandchildren numerous nieces & nephews and all of her Matthews St. Church of Christ family.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 6pm until 8pm Friday at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Saturday, October 6, 2012 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home with Bro. Drew Nelson officiating. Interment will follow at Hawley Cemetery. Pallbearers will be William Ratliff, Greg Guynes, Jody Guynes, Cody Guynes, Brent Guynes, Craig Guynes & William Guynes. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Trower, Beau Trower, Phil Baxter, Patrick Yates, Virgil K. Taylor & Jessie K. Taylor.
