Veronica "Vicki" Smith, 59, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, March 16, 2011 surrounded by family and friends at her home in Bay City, Texas. She was born on September 19, 1951 in Raymondville, Texas to the late Guy and Catherine Baird. Vicki graduated from Palacios High School in 1969. Vicki was a dedicated employee for the United States Postal Service for 31 years. Vicki was a devout Christian, mother, grandmother, and friend who was faithful to God, and all those she loved. Vicki is survived by her children; daughter, Melanie Bock and husband Allan, of Van Vleck, Tx., daughter, Ginger Beyer and husband Richard, of Markham, Tx., son, Charles Smith, of Austin, Tx., daughter, Misty Bryant and husband Derick of Wadsworth, Tx.; grandchildren; Teran Casey, Madison Simons, Tanner Casey, Emma Beyer, and Kella Beyer; brothers, Guy Baird and wife Becki, Larry Baird and wife Beth, and Bill Quinn and wife Donna. She is preceded in death by her parents Guy Baird and Catherine Quinn and brother, Douglas Baird.
