Jannie Valerie Crow Ryman, 79, of Bay City was born April 16, 1933 in Port Lavaca, TX to the late Martin and Alma Crow. Valerie went home to Heaven on Friday, October 12, 2012 surrounded by her family at home.

Valerie graduated from Bay City High School in 1951. During her life she was a telephone operator, bookkeeper, office nurse, florist, and business owner.

She married the love of her life, Johnny, in 1952. They enjoyed 60 years of marriage, and were high school sweethearts for 3 years. Caring for their family and serving their Lord Jesus Christ was always their priority.

Valerie was preceded in death by her parents, and brother Allen Ray Crow. She is survived by her loving husband: Johnny Carl Ryman; daughter: Carla Jane Cox & husband Lee; son: Martin Duane Ryman & wife Karen; sister: JoAnn Crow; 4 grandchildren: Jarred Saizan, Jane Ellen Saizan Miller, Jeremy Duane Ryman, and Colleen Sue Ryman Henderson; 2 great grandchildren: Maddie Saizan and Jarred (Jas) Saizan; 2 sisters-in-law: Sue Crow and Mary Lou Schooler; and 2 nieces: Karen Crow Meier and Kim Crow Ford.

The family will receive visitors from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday, October 14, 2012 at the funeral home. The funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Monday, October 15, 2012 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home with Dr. Mike Zimmerman officiating. The Eulogist will be her granddaughter Jane Ellen Saizan Miller. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck. Pallbearers will be: Keith Meier, Jeremy Ryman, Clint Miller, Ray Hamilton, Buddy Hamilton, and Greg Hamilton.
