Travis Justin Bartek, 34, of Bay City passed away unexpectedly on January 4, 2022.  He was born June 8, 1987 in El Campo, TX to Steven and Rebecca Matura Bartek.

Anyone who knew Travis, knows the love he had for the outdoors and catching fish. He always said can't nobody out fish me! He spent most of his time singing along to country music, especially Brantley Gilbert. He was a huge fan and knew all of his songs. He enjoyed spending time with his parents and was a proud uncle and brother. He loved to brag about his siblings and nieces and nephews. He was a passionate donor to the St. Jude foundation and made sure he would donate monthly. He had such a kind heart and was always willing to help if he could. He will dearly be missed.

He is survived by his parents Steven and Rebecca Bartek of Bay City; brothers Christopher Bartek (Kasie) of Norfolk, VA and their children Tyler and Hunter Bartek; Chad Bartek (Denise) of Weatherford, TX and their children Stella and Scarlett Bartek; sister Megan Cox (Thomas) of Bay City and their children Emily and Hailey Cox and his great uncle Lester Matura (Jackie); and many more aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Due to the current COVID situation, services will be held at a later date.
