Tommy Dean Ellis, 79, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2026, after a life spent making folks look sharp and feel better about themselves.

He was born February 2, 1947 in Brownwood, Texas. Tommy grew up with three brothers, Jesse, Gilbert and Jerry – who kept him on his toes. He was preceded in death by his brothers and by his parents, W. L. and Rosalie Ellis.

In 1970 he married Patricia, his rock for fifty-six years. Together they raised two daughters, Tommie Lynn & husband Jeff and Alta. He also had six grandchildren, Sarah, Samson, Sydney, Myracle, Blaze and Luke who were his favorite audience.

Tommy was a barber for over thirty years. He didn’t just cut hair – he listened. People came in for a trim and left lighter, like he’d taken off more than just the ends. He loved the quiet rhythm of clippers, the smell of aftershave and a good story.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM Monday, March 16, 2026 at the Trinity Baptist Church in Palacios. Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM with Rev. Louis Rush officiating. Interment will follow at the Palacios Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Alex Garcia, Searcy Barnett, Wylen Barnett, Blaze Miller, Samson Herrera and Troy Lewis.
