Obituary

Tommy K. Cleere, born in Comanche, OK to John B. and Myrtle Madwell Cleere in 1938, died at his home in Blessing,Texas on March 6th. 2016. He graduated from Comanche High School where he had many friends, and kept his high school yearbook all his life. Tommy joined the Air Force after high school, serving for four years stateside, and did a Reserves stint for an additional few years. After his military service he lived in the Tulsa area, working for Gates Hardware.

Tommy's marriage ended in divorce. There were no children. He was preceded in death by his older brothers Robert Elmo Cleere, and nuclear submariner John B. Cleere (who submerged in the USS Nautilus under the North Pole), and his sisters Loretta, Louise, Betty, and Billy Fae. Tommy leaves nieces and nephews living throughout the United States, and a caring friend Pamela Hodge, widow of his Texas buddy Jack Hodge, and his close neighbors Barry and Elizabeth Streams.

Tommy was active in bowling leagues, and in golfing, and took an interest in the Cleere genealogy. Tommy was cared for in his final illness by his niece Gail, currently doing research on the Cleere family, who requests any information be sent to gailcleere@hotmail.com.

Tommy will be buried at Fairlawn Cemetery in Comanche near his mother and father.
