IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Toby U.
Franks
August 12, 1996 – August 27, 2024
Toby U-Gene Franks was born August 12, 1996 in Bay City, TX to Huey Eugene Franks and Rachel Diane Halford. Affectionately known as "Tobae" to Chelsea, "T-Oby" to his father and "Tobylosis" by other family members, called Oak Grove, Louisiana his home base, but home was wherever he parked the trailer. Toby just celebrated his 28th birthday. He was loved and cherished. Sadly on August 27, 2024 he left our world and went to his final home in heaven.
He was born and married in Bay City, Texas to his high school sweetheart, Chelsea Lynn. He grew up in Pioneer, Louisiana where he lived and attended school. He graduated Epps High School in 2016 on a Friday and the following Monday, he was on the pipeline with his Dad.
Starting as a welder's helper learning the trade alongside his dad, he became a welder in 2023. He loved working and welding. He was very passionate about all that he did from farming and raising pigs through high school to helping and practicing becoming a welder. He was a fixer of all things and loved mowing yards, whether it was his own or a neighbor's.
No matter where he was or what he was doing, he captivated the hearts of all who met him. He was a simple man, firm enough to stand up for what was right, but gentle enough to be so lovable.
He took a piece of all our hearts. He was the best son, brother, husband, nephew and friend. Anyone who knew him was blessed. For those who just met him and getting to know him, or even those he hadn't met, will know our world is a duller place without him by hearing our stories and reading about his remarkable life.
He is survived by his wife Chelsea Sanchez Franks; his father Huey Franks (Ciara); his mother Rachel Diane Taylor (Jason); paternal grandmother Evelyn Franks Chelsea's grandparents Vicky and Ronnie Burgess; Uncle Nick Burgess; brothers Dustin Halford (Destney), Tray Franks (Brenda) and Maverick Parker; aunts Toddie Garcia (Ernie) and Frankie Trevino (Elias) Uncle David Mathews (Minnie); numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family and friends.
