Obituary

Timothy Nathan Trammell, 54, of Pasadena, Texas passed away on June 28, 2016. He was born in Edinburg, Texas on August 4, 1961. Tim spent his days exploring Bay City and making many great memories with his family and friends at Matagorda Beach. Tim played baseball in various leagues and as well as playing football for the Bay City Blackcats. Tim graduated from Bay City High School in May of 1980 and took up a career in the construction field that included being on projects in California, the Carolinas, Oklahoma, and Texas. No matter where he was, people knew Tim by his kindness and his loving heart. In October of 1989, Tim experienced the greatest joy of his life when his son, Nathan was born. Throughout his life, Tim loved being with Nathan and enjoyed the moments they had deeply. Tim beamed with pride the day he watched Nathan graduate from college.

Tim worked for Fluor Daniel until the end of 2004 when he had to stop working due to health issues. Once home, Tim spent his time listening to music, watching sports … especially if it was his beloved Dallas Cowboys! Tim spent many moments with his friends on the phone as they drove to work, home from a long trip, or just needed an ear. He was our "go to" guy for a smile and always when it involved any type of music or sports trivia.

One of his favorite quotes was, "It's not how many times you get knocked down, and it's how many times you get back up." Tim proved over the last 10 years he could definitely do that and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents Thomas R. and Mena Trammell, and his brother Tommy Trammell. Survivors include his son, Nathan Trammell; sisters Yolanda Garcia and Birdie Salazar; brother Terry Trammell and his wife Hilary. Nieces and Nephews include, Joe Salazar; Raymond and Julia Salazar; Elisa and Ryan Cook; Mandy Pape; Christina and Eligio; Lisa and Earl Sadewasser; Crystal and Brian Bailey. Additionally, he has 10 great-nieces and nephews and a great-great niece and a great-great nephew. His beloved dog, Jenny will miss him greatly but will spend her time in the loving arms of Nathan and Brittany.

The family requests that you honor Tim's love of sports by wearing your favorite sports team jersey or shirt … all teams are welcome. The memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2016 beginning at 2:00 p.m. at the Taylor Bros. Funeral Home in Bay City, Texas. Scott Sieben will officiate. A time for visitation with his family will begin at 12:00 noon. The interment will follow at a later date for family.
