Thomas Ochoa, 61, of Palacios, Texas, passed away Monday, April 14, 2025. He was born on July 22, 1963, in Palacios to Cruz Ochoa and Janie Garcia Penland.

Thomas loved shrimping, crafting with leather, and being around his family and friends. He especially loved going to visit his mother. You could often find him drinking his coffee with friends and family on a daily basis.

Thomas was preceded in death by his father, Cruz Ochoa. He is survived by his mother, Juanita Garcia Penland; sisters, Amanda Hunter (Greg) and Trina Morris (Danny); nephews, Jordan Hunter, Danny Jr. Morris (Jessica); niece, Jade Huffman (Christopher); great nephew, Danny Morris Jr.; and great nieces, Madison, Danica Morris and Layla Huffman.

The family will receive relatives and friends for visitation from 9:00-10:00am Monday, April 21, 2025, at the Palacios Funeral Home. Funeral Services will begin at 10:00am with Danny G. Perez officiating. Interment will follow at Palacios Cemetery. Pallbearers for Thomas will be Christopher Huffman, Kenny Brune, Albert Pena, Joey Pena, Jesse Rojas, Jordan Hunter, and Danny Gomez
