Thomas Raymond O'Banion, 87, of Palacios passed away October 21, 2019. He was born September 9, 1932 in Houston, Texas to Lonnie and Edna Edwards O'Banion.

Thomas devoted his life to his wife, family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved visiting with all of his closest friends at Cape Caranachua, and sharing stories while sitting in his garage. Thomas loved joking and making people smile. He was an avid fisherman, loved gardening, canning fruits, vegetables and his famous hot salsa, going to church and Bible study.

Thomas is preceded in death by his parents, and son Tom O'Banion. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Glenda Stein O'Banion; children Pam and Terry Muldowney; Jon and Tammy O'Banion and David O'Banion; 10 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends and relatives 5:00pm-7:00pm Wednesday, October 23 at Palacios Funeral Home. Services are 10:00am Thursday, October 24, 2019 at First Baptist Church of Palacios with Rev. Chris Webb officiating. Interment will be 11:00am Friday, October 25 at Davis-Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg, Texas. Pallbearers are Bill Daniels, Charlie Taylor, Buster Grubbs, Scott Davis, Wayne Holidgraf and Kevin Holidgraf.
