Thelma Yeamans Dellis, 88, passed away Thursday, November 25, 2010 in Bay City. Thelma was born June 6, 1922 in Matagorda, TX to the late Phillip and Emma Louise Gottschalk Yeamans, Jr.
She was a devoted homemaker, baking pastries to share with her family and friends. Flowers and plants flourished under her care. She made her surrounding gracious wherever she was. Thelma loved the beauty of the outdoors, fishing, walking and picking up pecans. She was a 50-year member of the Eastern Star and Order of the Beaucent.
She loved her family, especially her great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving family, son: Lawrence M. Dellis, Jr. and wife Paula; her daughter: Judy Kelley & husband J.W.; her grandchildren: Justin Dellis and Heather Milton, Jennifer Taylor, Wesley Kelley; great grandchildren: Hailee Dellis, Gavin Milton, Madison Taylor, and Ryan, Raylea and Katy Kelley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence M. Dellis; her brothers and sisters: Neal, Pearl, Sue, Minnie, Jane, Mary, Woodrow and Ida.
Visitation will be from 4 PM to 6 PM Saturday, November 27th , at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, November 28, 2010, at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Bay City with Rev. Susan Kennard officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mark's Episcopal Church Building Fund.
