Thelbert E. Simpson died on November 26, 2005 in Garden Villa Nursing Home in El Campo. He was a long time resident of Bay City, TX. Thelbert was born on August 26, 1921 in Caldwell, TX to James Robert and Ola Simpson. He was a veteran of World War II, serving overseas in the US Navy for 4 years. He was employed by Texaco in Pierce, TX for 35 years. He is preceded in death by his wife, Doris; his parents; and his brothers and sisters, Tom Simpson, J.R. Simpson, Roberta Turner and Lela Potter.

He is survived by his nieces, Patricia Simpson Davis and Mary Catherine McCoy, his step-daughter, Donna Kessler and Judith Mahavier, 4 great nieces and 4 great nephews.

Services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, November 29, 2005 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home in Bay City. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery in Bay City.
