Terry Lynn Ryman, 64, of Bay City, Texas, passed away Thursday, May 15, 2025. She was born on August 20, 1960, in Bay City to Joe Wilbert Dement, Sr. and Wilda Mary Billeau Ryman.

Fishing, gardening, and growing flowers were among Terry's favorite hobbies. She also enjoyed cooking and feeding people. She loved making jelly! She was artistic and could paint, sew, crochet, and knit—she was excellent at all she did. But her express and most enjoyable activity of all had to be fishing. She could be found often fishing and crabbing in one or another of our nearby waters anytime she could be. Terry also had profound faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Terry inspired all who were around her to seek God and take him at his word.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Raymond Ryman; and stepmother, Kathy Dement. She is survived by her daughters, Charlotte Linthicum, and Jennifer Bowling; sons, Joseph Vernon and Kevin Parson; sisters, Mary Maxwell, Judy Mae Hanzen, Kimberly Weiderhold, Margaret Ryman Robb, Crystal Ryman Eads, Kelly Eernisse, and Pattie Jo Cole; brothers, Joe Dement, Jr., Johnnie Dement II, David Ryman, and Chris Ryman.

Graveside services for Terry will be 10:00am Monday, May 19, 2025, at the Matagorda Cemetery with Melvin Ryman officiating.
