Teresa Guanajuato, 59, of Bay City, passed away October 7, 2026. She was born November 16, 1966, in Bay City to the late Max Guanajuato, Sr. and Cayetana Lozano Guanajuato.

Teresa was a beloved sister and friend. She was described by all as considerate, sweet, thoughtful, jolly, unique, soft-spoken, wise, and kind. Teresa was always ready and willing to give and lend a hand when needed. Her family and friends were her passion and was always displayed through her actions and deeds. Furthermore, many strangers became her dear acquaintances throughout her walk-through life.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Hope Guanajuato and Mary Helen Guanajuato; and brother, Max Guanajuato, Jr.

Survivors include her sisters, Virginia Perez, Connie Longoria and Gloria Garcia; brothers, Ben Guanajuato and Michael Guanajuato; goddaughter, Brianna Escobedo; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM Monday, October 12, 2026, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. A rosary will be recited at 9:30 AM followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM with Rev. Robert Guerra officiating. Interment will be at Cedarvale Cemetery in Bay City. Pallbearers will be Jose Longoria, Gilbert Perez, Jr. Bryan Guanajuato, Jason Comacho, Max Guanajuato III and Frankie Garcia, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Ayden Camacho, Marcus Aguilera and Lorenzo Hernandez, Jr.
