Tami Lynn Dabney, 32, of Fayetteville, NC, was born July 19, 1983, in Bay City, TX. She passed away after a short illness at UNC, NC on July 17, 2016.
Tami graduated from BCHS in 2001, where she was in the Band, Flag-team and Drama club. She graduated from WCJC in 2005 as an LVN. She worked at STMC in Wharton and Girling Home Health, until her husband joined the army and moved away. While at Ft. Polk, she was Co-Leader for the Family Readiness Group. She was currently employed at Hobby Lobby in Fayetteville, NC.
Tami is preceded in death by her grandfather Harold George; sister-in-law Tray Lynn Dabney and Patrick Cooke. She is survived by her husband, SSG William Dabney, U.S. Army; three children, Emma, Nicole and Connor of Fayetteville, NC; mother, Robin Davis; father and step-mother, Russell and Jacqueline Davis; two sisters, Michelle (George) Zogg and Kacye Davis; in-laws, Marvin and Renee Dabney, Vickie and Clay Hamlyn; grandparents, Marie George, A.C. and Bernice Davis, and Betty Cooke; and many cousins and friends.
She had an infectious love of life and helping others.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, July 26 from 5:00-7:00pm at the funeral home. Services will be 10:00am Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home in Bay City, TX with Tony Gidion officiating. Interment will follow at Midfield Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Wyatte George, Cody Capek, John Miller, Robert George, C.J. Ratliff and Brad Vacek.
