T. J. Middleton passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, Dec. 26, 2009.

T. J. was born to C. O. & Johnnie Reese Middleton in Brusly, Louisiana on Oct. 29, 1924. He graduated from Bay City High School in 1944. He worked in the oil & gas industry for forty years and retired in 1984.

T. J. married the love of his life, Barbara Alexander on Aug. 20, 1949. They shared 60 wonderful years together and had three children. T. J. was preceded in death by his parents and brothers J. R. and Owen Middleton.

He is survived by his wife Barbara; sons Rex Middleton & wife Cecelia of Bay City and Linn Middleton & wife Terri of Sealy; daughter Cheryl Lowery of Dallas. Grandchildren include Heather Middleton of Houston, Sean Middleton of Mexico, Heath Middleton & wife Courtney of Sealy, Angie Middleton of Seally, Adam Zillweger of Austin and Iris Leos & husband Vince of Victoria, great grandchildren are Makaylah Middleton of Sealy, Cooper Middleton of Katy, Ryan Leos & Brandy Leos of Victoria. T. J. also leaves behind his sisters Neva Hamilton, Sue Lowery & Juanelle Clayton all of Bay City.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 5pm to 8pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009 at the First Baptist Church with Terry Farrar officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck. Pallbearers will be Adam Zillweger, Vince Leos, Ryan Leos, Thomas Matura, Larry Middleton & Mark White. Memorial donations can be made to the Leukemia Research Foundation or Parkinson Research Foundation. The family would like to express their heart felt thanks to the Houston Hospice team for all of their support.
