Sylvia Swinford Kilbride, 86, of Bay City passed away Feb. 28, 2009. She was born April 23, 1922 in Bay City, TX to the late Frank Levi Swinford, Sr. and Salomie Lewis Swinford. She was a lifelong resident of Bay City and a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband George Pernot Kilbride, sisters Pearl Redwine, Florene Swinford & Thelma Anderson, brothers George T. Swinford & Frank Swinford, Jr. and granddaughter, Mona Kilbride Shepard..

Survivors include daughter Dixie Mattingly of Bay City; son Jimmie Kilbride & wife Linda of Bay City; sister, Vallie Westbrook of Sugar Valley and grandchildren Kristina Longoria, Robert Kilbride, Brian Kilbride & Laura Uriarte.

Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Saturday, March 7, 2009 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Chapel with Rev. Tom Morgan officiating. Pallbearers will be A. T. Richardson, Jim Palmer, Chuck Skelly, James Shepard, Rick Raider & Roy Minshew. Marty Armstrong, David Guidry & Roy Tripp will serve as honorary pallbearers. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
