Sybil Weiss of Bay City, Texas passed away on June 1, 2010 at home in Bay City at the age of 76. She was an early Christmas present born December 20, 1933 in Wadsworth, Texas to Eddie and Virginia Ryman. She grew up in Wadsworth and graduated from Bay City High School. She moved to New York City and met John Weiss, they fell in love and were married on March 16, 1958. They had three children , Mary, Susan, and John, Jr. . They moved to Bay City in October 1974 when John retired from the New York City Fire Department. Sybil is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, John Allen Weiss; by her children, John Weiss, Jr.; daughter-in-law Anissa Weiss; by her daughter, Mary Wolfe, Susan Crume & husband Jimmy; Grandchildren, Morgan Wolfe, Stacy O'Mallan, Mary Lantz, Amber Seward, Lauren Lantz, Danielle Wolfe, Derek Wolfe, Ashley Crume & Dustin Crume. She also had five great-grandchildren; Zacharie, Kaleb, Riley, Manson, James lll; two sisters, Gertrude Hardy and Rosemary Armstrong. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Eddie and Virginia Ryman; brother, Roy, Robert, Raymond, Russell and a sister Margaret Verdecanna. Visitation with the family 6-8p.m. Friday and 6-8p.m. Saturday at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Funeral service 2:00 P.M. Sunday at the First Pentcostal Church in Bay City with Rev. Marvin Moore officiating. Burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
