Stephen Lynn Fair was one of three born to the union of the then Wayne and Jackie Fair in Waco, Texas on March 18, 1969. He grew up surrounded by a loving family and many friends. Stephen graduated from Midway High School in 1988. He entered TSTI and received a degree in Instrumentation in 1992. He immediately began working for Phillips 66 on March 16, 1992 in the Pipeline Department. His latest position was that of Supervisor.
On April 11, 1992, he married Laney LeAnne Davis, his High School Sweetheart, after a courtship of five and one-half years, at Hewitt First Baptist Church. To this union one daughter, Tanna Ellice, was born.
He loved to hunt and fish with his friends, however, his newest love was elk hunting in Colorado with friends. Each summer he, his wife, and daughter spent each weekend in Port Aransas. Stephen has been co-chairperson for Ducks Unlimited for seven (7) years and loved every minute of it.
He is survived by his wife of twenty years, Laney, daughter, Tanna, mother Jackie (Sammie) Ivie of Crawford, TX; father Wayne (Lois) Fair of Hewitt; brothers Brian, Mike and David Far and Charlie Turner all of Waco, Terry Fair of Galena, Alaska & Ricky Fair of Hewitt; grandparents James and Frances Holdbrook of Lorena, TX as well as a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, co-workers and friends.
The family will receive friends and relatives from 6pm to 8pm Sunday at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Monday, April 30, 2012 at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Mike Zimmerman officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck. Pallbearers will be Brian Fair, Devin Fair, Mike Fair, David Fair, Charlie Turner and James Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be Clayton Davis, Colby Davis and Dylan Fair.
