Stella Pearl Hauff Phillips, 90, of Bay City passed away January 25, 2016. She was born November 2, 1925 in Cleburne, TX to the late Phillip Hauff and Maude Hadley Hauff.

She met Earl Phillips in Palacios, TX and they married February 2, 1945. After his service in WWII they moved to Bay City where they owned and operated Earl's Diner. He preceded her in death in 1987. A brother Kenneth Hauff also preceded her in death.

Survivors include daughter Darla Helm & husband Ray of Terrell, TX; son Mark Phillips & wife Jane of Fairfield, TX; sisters Marie Minze and Dorothy Boleyn both of Sweeny and Joyce Schneider of Port Lavaca; brother Clyde Hauff of Selkirk; grandchildren Jeffrey West, Ryan Phillips, Matthew Phillips and Todd Phillips, step grandchildren, Rob Helm, Sandie Helm, Brian Helm; 11 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 5PM until 7PM Friday, January 29, 2016 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Saturday, January 30, 2016 at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Mike Zimmerman officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery, Bay City. Pallbearers will be Ryan Phillips, Matthew Phillips, Todd Phillips, Jeff West, Kenneth Hauff and Ricky Gasaway.
