Stella Nowak-Harrison, 67, of Bay City, passed away August 31, 2018 in Sweeny. She was born August 18, 1951 in East Bernard, TX to Benjamin Lawrence and Martha Valigura Nowak.

Stella was a retired school teacher, and taught in Bay City. She was a devoted member of Holy Cross Catholic Church. Stella was a loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by sons Matt Harrison and wife Amanda of Milan, Illinois, and Jarred Harrison of Edna; mother Martha Nowak; grandchildren Frank and Nicholas Harrison; and sister Rose Marie Durden of Sugar Land.

A funeral mass will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Fr. Greg Korenek officiating. Entombment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Holy Cross Catholic School.
