Our beloved Shirley Ann Hale, 89, of Wadsworth, TX went to her eternal home on May 3, 2025.  Shirley passed away peacefully with those who loved her by her side.

She was born in Bay City, TX to the late Harry & Maudie Janise on December 20, 1935.  Shirley was the oldest daughter of 9 children.  She had 4 children with the late Kenneth Charles Hale.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons, Robert & Scott Hale, son-in-law, Jack Johnson, Sr., grandson Jonathan Hale, three siblings and former son-in-law Tommy Gassen. She is survived by her loving daughters Vanessa Smith and Karen Johnson; daughter-in-law Tammy Hale; grandchildren Leslie Zuniga (Edward, Jr.), Ashley Hale Drab (Wayne), Jack Johnson, Jr., Danielle Johnson & Katie Hale; great grandchildren Destany Winzenried (Bradley), Madilyn Zuniga, Alexa Zuniga, Melanie Hale, Brett Waters and new baby brother and one great-great grandchild due in September and five siblings.

Shirley was an avid seamstress, gardener, a chef to those who have gathered around for her wonderful meals, dedicated fisher woman, no stranger to crabbing or making gumbo, excellent caretaker to those who were sick and well, a nurturing soul she was.  Shirley, in the earlier years, was faithful to help care for the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
