Sheri Lynn Hooper 48 of Van Vleck went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 20,2024.

She was born December 10, 1975 in Webster Texas to William (Bill) Johnson and Elizabeth (Cissy) McKissick Johnson. Sheri married Andy Kevin Hooper on November 16, 1996 and they had three children together.

Sheri received her degree from Wharton County Junior College and was licensed a medical radiologic technologist.  Her career began at Matagorda General Hospital and continued at a private orthopedic practice; she loved helping people and had a kind and calming presence.  As her children grew, she made the decision to change careers and became a stay-at-home Mother for her beautiful daughters and full-time caregiver for her beloved son Joe.

Sheri loved spending time with her family and friends; laughing, singing along to her favorite music and enjoying good food. She was a lifetime fan of the Dallas Cowboys and although shy as a child, she was actually very competitive and stubborn when she set her mind on something. This was especially true with her kids; she went above and beyond for them, advocating, supporting, and giving her all.

She was preceded in death by her father-in-law William (Joe) Hooper and her grandparents.

Survivors include her loving husband Andy Kevin Hooper; parents Bill and Cissy Johnson; daughters Andrea Hooper, Ashley Hooper and son Joseph Hooper; sisters Ivy Eidlebach and husband (Ross) and Lisa Cockrell and husband (Matthew); brother Danny Johnson and wife (Miranda); mother in law Linda (Quay) Hooper and siblings in law Sally Hooper, Randy Michael and Darren Michael; with a host of nieces and nephews and extended family and friends, including her church family at First Baptist Church Van Vleck.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM with Rev. Scott Patz officiating.  Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck.  Pallbearers will be Matthew Cockrell, John Cockrell, Sam Cox, John Ross Eidlebach, Randy Joyner, and Jonathan Rhoades.
