Sharon LeMerle McKenzie Perdue, 75, of Brazoria, TX, passed away December 16, 2018 peacefully with her loving family by her side. She was born December 06, 1943 in Houston, TX to Myrtle Waldrop McKenzie and Ernest McKenzie.

Sharon graduated from Bay City High School in 1962 and went to work for the Bay City Tribune for a few years. She married Roger Perdue in April of 1963, who preceded her in death in 2014. Sharon lived in Onalaska, TX for several years, but has lived the last 6 months in Brazoria at the home of Kay and Roy Smith.

Sharon loved her family, friends and church family deeply. She loved her many pets during her lifetime, especially Buttons her little poodle. Her many enjoyments included traveling, entertaining, making Christmas ornaments, quilting, cross-stitch, coloring and working genealogy She was always complimented on her big eyes and long lashes.

Sharon is preceded in death by her parents; husband: Roger Perdue; brother: Ray McKenzie; sister: Joan Milner; nephew: James P. Clifton; niece: Beverly Walker, and infant great niece: Stacy Ann Walker. She is survived by 2 nieces: Sharon Kay Smith & husband Roy and Marie Sokoloff & husband Alan; 2 nephews: Billy Clifton and Joe McKenzie & wife Susan, and many great nieces, great nephews, cousins and their families, and many great friends.

The family will receive friends and relatives 6:00-8:00pm Thursday, December 20 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Services are 12 Noon Friday December 21, 2018 at the funeral home. After the service, refreshments will be at Sharon Kay and Roy Smith's home. Interment will be 2:00pm Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Carlisle Cemetery in Onalaska, TX.
