Sharen Gifford Koenning, 67, of Bay City, TX, passed away April 14, 2026. She was born July 3, 1958, in Corpus Christi, TX to the late Cecil and Mabel Johnson Gifford.

Sharen was a loving mother whose quiet strength and endless patience guided her children through life, and a cherished Mimi to her granddaughters, who lit up at the sound of her voice and the warmth of her hugs. Her two loyal dogs were her constant companions, bringing her joy every day. She found deep fulfillment in crafting beautiful handmade seashell treasures, lovingly donating to charitable organizations and crocheting and quilting keepsakes to pass down to her family and friends. Her generous spirit, creative hands, and tender heart touched everyone she knew. She will be deeply missed, but her love and kindness live on in every story told, every craft remembered and every wagging tail that still waits by the door.

Sharen was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Archie Koenning; and sister, Brenda Moody. She is survived by her daughter, Tanya Petrosky (husband Michael Petrosky); son, Archie Koenning, Jr.; granddaughters, Hailey Petrosky and Teaghan Koenning; brother, Joeseph Thomas Treadaway (wife Darlene Treadaway) their children Kodie Carriveau (husband Raymond Carriveau) and Tisha Spinks.

The family will receive loved ones and friends Tuesday, April 21, 2026, from 3:00-4:30pm at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 3:00pm Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at Breslau Cemetery in Hallettsville, TX with Chris Webber officiating.
