Scott Allen Sherrill, 55, of Bay City passed away June 23, 2023.  He was born May 14, 1968 in Texarkana, TX to Larry Sherrill and Ellen Renfro Sherrill.

Scott Sherrill was a dedicated member of the Bay City Police Department who not only loved the people he worked with but the community he served. Apart from his love of Law Enforcement he also loved playing music. There was always a smile on his face while he played for others whether it be at a formal function or just family and friends. For those that knew him also know that his family was his pride and joy.

He was preceded in death by his father.  Survivors include his wife Carolina Sherrill; his mother Ellen Sherrill; step-mother Avie Sherrill; daughters Ashley Villarreal, Emily Solis and Briana Solis; sons Ruben Reyes, Jr., Scott Sherrill II, Derek Sherrill and Chris Sherrill; brothers Jeff Sherrill, Mike Sherrill, Mark Sherrill and Jason Sherrill and grandchildren Anthony Reyes, Lexiana Dickerson, Irene Reyes, Gracie Sherrill-Paschall, Amy Sherrill, Peyton Sherrill-Paschall, Michael Sherrill, Anna Sherrill-Paschall, Ruben Reyes III, Jahari Sherrill, Benjamin Reyes and Victoria Reyes.

Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM Saturday, July 1, 2023 at Ignite Church.  Funeral Service will be at 10:00 AM with Pastor Chad Hammons officiating.  Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Buddy Radley, Scott Sherrill II, Derek Sherrill, Chris Sherrill, Mike Sherrill and Mark Sherrill.

Those attending, please dress casual in either white or blue colors.
